Gulf Coast Teaching Family Services, Inc. (GCTFS) is a private, non-profit corporation founded in 1983 in Louisiana to provide comprehensive human service programs for Louisiana citizens, children and adults, with various physical and mental challenges. Our mission is to empower those individuals to improve the quality of their lives and teach them to be as independent as possible in the community.
GCTFS is dedicated to establishing and operating community-based service programs providing consultation, training, and educational services to individuals and their families that promote deinstitutionalization, integration, and normalization for Louisiana citizens with special needs. GCTFS adheres to the philosophy of unconditional care in the least-restrictive treatment/placement alternatives.
GCTFS responds to community needs by providing high quality, innovative, effective, "state of the art" treatment programs.
